Your Worst Poker Enemy by Dr. Alan Schoonmakr
Alan Schoonmaker has had one of the best poker books on the market for years now called The Psychology of Poker. Given the nature of it’s title it’s a book which barely touches on hand to hand game scenarios and thus may have been thought of as reading without the fanfare from writing peers such as Doyle Brunson, David Sklansky and Mike Caro. It simply didn’t have the “meaty” poker strategy, or did it? review

Sit' n Go Strategy by Collin Moshman
As a regular contributor to the forums at 2+2 Moshman learned his trade soon after achieving an honors degree in theoretical math from Caltech. His online expereince grew from $6 sit and go poker tournaments all the way to up $215 single table sit and go tournaments. Even though he could be labeled as a math geek, Moshman’s play is as aggressive as Phil Ivey’s and in explaining this strategy within these pages, Collin Moshman has definitely filled a market void. Yes, this whole manual introduces many new and exciting strategies. review

Killer Poker By The Numbers - Tony Guerrera
To ease the reader in and provide motivation for the tough sledding ahead, the book starts with a very common poker conundrum: you raise with AK before the flop, it totally misses you, action gets checked around, and you make a continuation bet. How profitable is that play? We all have hunches, but Guerrera demonstrates the mathematics, concluding that a 2/3 pot bet is profitable against one or two opponents but not profitable against a higher

number. Already, in the first few pages, I really felt like I was being handed the keys to the deeper poker kingdom, and Guerrera was demonstrating all his calculations, laying out his assumptions, assigning them probabilities, and empowering the reader to go through precisely the same steps, not simply take it on faith. Very exciting stuff!. book review

The Complete Book of Casino Poker - Gary Carson
Beginners who read this book won’t automatically be turned into poker-ninjas. However, if they’re heading down to Vegas with a thousand bucks and wild eyes, they will be in substantially better position to defend their holiday poker-roll. They will also be far more likely to recognize their own limitations, spot a soft game, and try their fortunes with a few decent tools on the belt. If you are that beginner, this book will save you its cost of purchase ($14.95 US/$20.95 CAN) and probably allow you to scoop a big pot or two for bragging rights back home. book review

Online Ace by Scott Fischman
First indications from some other readers are that this is a surprisingly solid book. Haven't got my hands on it yet, but am now willing to spend some quality time with this.book reivew

Play Poker Like a Pigeon and Take The Money Home By Anonymous Writer

This brilliant little book (213 pages), published in 2007, stands an excellent chance of turning the careful student into a masterfully disguised limit hold’em ninja. He boils the game down into two principles: playing the game, and playing the enemy. He lays out a step-by-step plan about how to look like a total poker klutz, dish out a whuppin’, leave the game with bags of money, and

most importantly, leave the distinct impression that you’re nothing more than a donk who lucked out. The game is aimed primarily at a live-playaudience. The prose itself is delicious. Our hero is clearly a story teller, and it is easy to believe that he is also a novelist, as claimed..book reivew

How To Win The Championship by TJ Cloutier
Mr. Cloutier you are a nice guy. I like to see you play on TV. You seem very friendly so please don't take this personal but for the love of God stop writing poker books. Review

Lesson from the Pro Poker Tour by David Apostolico
A couple of situations involved Doyle Brunson making some truly amazing laydowns for what seemed to be inconsequential pots. Apostolico pointed these hands out indicating Brunson’s true talent and that as a seasoned pro that knew how to conserve chips for better opportunities. There are other equally captivating hands that make the book worthwhile in themselves.. review
