Poker Books: The Worst Poker Books (or Better Money Spent Elsewhere) This could probably be a bigger section than it is, given that publishers are eager for anything with the word "poker" in the title. As it is, here are a few of the books which could just as well be titled, "I Know You Love Poker So Much Right Now That you Will Buy This Stupid Book That My Publishers and I Whipped Up, So Hurry Up and Do It Before You Are Able To Figure Out What a Good Poker Book Really Is!" Making of a Poker Player by Matt Matros I think Matt should stick to math. The one interesting story in the whole book was a whole chapter devoted to Matt's calling a huge bet in a big tournament with a pair of 9's. I guess he thought it was amazing, but if I were at the table and saw that board, full of over cards, I would make note of his fishy calls and set him up real nice.poker book review Poker Wisdom of a Champion by Doyle Brunson A collection of old strories and articles that Mr. Brunson threw together to make into a book. Some are mildly amusing, most have the auru of fiction, none will improve your game....poker book report Super System 2 What should have been a much better book, this is an ongoing advertisement for Doyle's own online Poker Room. A HUGE dissapointment to myself personally, as I was expecting some radical new philosophy, but it is mearely small changes to the original, with some decent chapters thrown in by Daniel Negreanu and Jennifer Harmon . poker book review Moneymaker WSOP Champion by Chris Moneymaker This book isn't so bad of a story based on fantasy luck - in fact in that way it is quite incredulous! But as far as poker goes, this is a fairytale, where the strategy employed by example here would have you out of a tournament on the first day 999 times out of a 1000 entries..poker book review Texas Hold'em Secrets eBook by Roy Rounder (aka Rory Monahan) The chip tricks are amazing... whatever! Sadly, of all the ebooks available, this is probably the best one. Read the full review here. What is really shameful is that you can have all this information and more for a lot less in several other books one of which isMatthew Hilger's Internet Texas Hold'em. How To Win The Championship by TJ Cloutier Mr. Cloutier you are a nice guy. I like to see you play on TV. You seem very friendly so please don't take this personal but for the love of God - stop writing poker books. Review Bad Beats and Lucky Draws by Phil hellmuth Simply one of the worst (and hence, most greedy) publications released in the last few years (ok, ever) that is tantamount to glorifying Phil's own belief that he is the greatest that ever was. phil hellmuth books
